Editorial
A special welcome to the thousands of psychology students receiving this issue free, in print and online. I hope it will serve as a great introduction to the discipline and the Society, and that you will consider joining us to get the force of the Society behind your studies.
This month we meet a psychologist conducting fascinating research on the multisensory perception of flavour with top chef Heston Blumenthal; there's analysis of the last words of death row prisoners; and a host of features on the student experience, including what will be expected of you during your degree and a fresh look at Milgram's classic study.
Also, do check out our 'New voices' section and the thinking behind it. The Psychologist is the publication for all those studying or working in the field, and we look forward to welcoming you into it.
