Risk assessment and management has always been a high profile and high priority issue for clinical psychologists and other practitioners involved with forensic mental heath services and the criminal justice system. This paper is an attempt to summarise key areas of information and guidance with regards to good risk assessment and management practice. Although written for forensic clinical psychologists, the information will also be of interest and value to other professions.
