Publishes original research which aims to increase understanding of people at work including:
- industrial, organizational, work, vocational and personnel psychology
- behavioural and cognitive aspects of industrial relations
- ergonomics and human factors.
The journal publishes empirical research papers (qualitative and/or quantitative); papers which offer new theory and conceptualization; reviews of existing research; prescriptive articles advocating changes in research paradigms; and analyses of practice in occupational and organizational psychology. Published empirical papers are normally expected to make a strong contribution in at least two of the following three areas: theoretical development, methodological soundness or innovation, and the enhancement of practice.
