Description

Psychologist Professor Richard Wiseman talked about the 'psychology of luck'; Why do some people lead happy successful lives whilst others face repeated failure and sadness? Why are some people always in the right place at the right time, while others are always unlucky? Discover more and find out how The Luck Factor can change your life.

TV personality and comedienne Ruby Wax, who had recently completed a qualification in psychotherapy before going on to study neuroscience, talked about her change of direction into a career in psychology.

With over 25 sessions on fascinating and relevant topics, including: 'Managing the dark side of your personality and developing the bright side', 'She-conomics - the psychology of women and money' and 'Getting off the couch - exercise motivation strategies', the event also shed some light on just why we behave the way we do.

A new psychological test - 'Implicitly' - that uncovers the relationship between people's prejudices and behavior was unveiled by Dr Pete Jones.

'Psychology for All' was organised by the London and Home Counties (LHC) Branch of The British Psychological Society. Karen Powell-Williams, Chair of the Society's LHC Branch said: 'We've called it "Psychology for All" because there genuinely is something for everyone - from A-level psychology students, to members of the public who are just interested in finding out more about what makes people tick'.
